Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival’s 27th Year launches on January 1, 2018
The 27th Annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival will be October 19-27, 2018.
The Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival is made possible only through the generous donations of our loyal supporters. As we prepare for this important annual event, we need your help.
We hope you will join us in another year of amazing films, incredible events, fascinating personalities and thought provoking stories that make HSDFF one of the best film festivals in the country.
Remember, since Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute is a 501(c)(3) all of your donations are tax deductible.
HSDFF is an Academy Award®-qualifying festival in the category of Documentary Short Subject, and has been named to MovieMaker Magazine's global list of "50 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee”.
Documentary legends visiting the festival over the years have included Werner Herzog, Stanley Nelson, James Earl Jones, Albert Maysles, Robert Kenner, Ken Burns, D.A. Pennebaker, Robert Drew, Peter Coyote and Gordon Quinn. Attendance over 10 days each October has risen to 10,000+, while being supported by a small paid staff and nearly 300 volunteers. Surrounded by the beauty of the Arkansas autumn, filmmakers, film lovers and special guests come together in the historic spa town of Hot Springs to celebrate the documentary genre, and to make friends from all over the world.
